I can’t believe that it’s already almost halfway through March! The first quarter of the year has zipped by so quickly!
At the end of 2013, I made a list of beauty resolutions. I’m proud to announce that I’m doing a great job at keeping up with my goals. My toughest and most challenging goal has been to keeping my fragrance purchases to a minimum. As of right now, I’ve only purchased 1 full sized fragrance for the year. But guess what? I’ve given away almost 40 fragrances from my collection and my current collection has downsized substantially.
My updated inventory (2 goals have been met):
What I gave away:
My second toughest goal was to limit my makeup purchases to 20. When I made that goal, I didn’t take e.l.f cosmetics into consideration. I have a lot of HG items from e.l.f cosmetics that are online only, and there’s no way I’m paying $3.00 + $7.00 s&h to replace a single item. With that being said, I’m withdrawing my 20 item limitation. I made a purchase on the e.l.f website already to buy backups of the Studio HD Powder, Blush & Bronzer Duo in Turks & Caicos, and the Studio Pressed Powder (all of which I’m almost out of). In order to meet the free shipping quota, I had to add a bunch of extra items that had already put me over my 20 product limit. However, I am still going to avoid buying pencil eyeliner and pre-made eye palettes.
I made a goal to use up all of my foundation backups before buying anymore foundation. However, my skin has changed quite a bit and the foundations that I once loved no longer work for me. Instead of foundation, I’ve decided to completely stop buying eye primer and face primer. On top of that, I’m also going to try to dwindle down my brush collection. If one starts to fall apart, I won’t replace it unless there isn’t something comparable in my collection.
1. Not only limit shoe purchases but also clean out the current collection.
2.) No more buying items in bulk for any reason.
