It’s time for a product smackdown! Today I will be comparing e.l.f’s lotion wipes to Pacifica’s lotion wipes. These two brands are the only two that I have seen carry lotion wipes so I figured, “hey, why not compare not two?” Both brands are amazing in their own unique ways and both brands are also cruelty free! Pacifica is known for their natural ingredient products and e.l.f is known for their affordability. In case you couldn’t tell by the picture, I LOVE lotion wipes and both brands offer something different.
Quick details about e.l.f’s Lotion Wipes:
- Each pack comes with 15 wipes
- Six different fragrances
- $3.00 per pack; often found at $1.50 if purchased online
Quick details about Pacifica’s Lotion Wipes:
- Each pack comes with 30 wipes
- Six different fragrances
- $7.00 per pack
- Vegan, gluten-free, paraben free, biodegradable wipes, recyclable package
- Donation made to support clean water with the profits made from every purchase
Both of these products are designed like baby wipes. Not only do these wipes make the skin feel cleansed, they also make the skin feel soft and moisturized. You use these wipes by simply taking a wipe and rubbing it on your skin. I can get my entire body moisturized and ready for clothes in less than a minute. This is also a great product to use for moisturizing the back or areas on your body that you normally can’t reach. I never used to moisturize my back because I struggled with trying to rub lotion in but now I moisturize my back every night since the process literally takes less than 5 seconds. My mom never used to moisturize her feet because she has intense body pains but now she can moisturize her feet within seconds. She can get the job done while she’s bent over to pull her sandal strap over her ankle.
Between the two brands, e.l.f wins in this department. Comparing a single wipe from each brand, e.l.f’s lotion wipes are significantly more wet and therefore covers more surface area on my body. Pacifica hydrates nicely as well but e.l.f does a better job.
Again, e.l.f wins in this department. As previously mentioned, e.l.f’s lotion wipe packs come with 15 wipes and Pacifica’s lotion wipe packs come with 30 wipes. A single sheet of e.l.f’s lotion wipes can cover most of my body whereas one sheet of Pacifica’s lotion wipes covers half of my body. With that being said, e.l.f costs $3.00 and Pacifica costs $7.00 for the same number of uses. Buying two packs would equal 30 sheets (same as one pack of Pacifica’s wipes) at $6.00 and that would still make e.l.f cheaper. I would also like to point out that e.l.f’s lotion wipe sheets stretch so it feels like I’m getting every bit of product from the wipes.
Pacifica wins by a landslide! All of the fragrances that Pacifica offers smells very nice. They all smell like perfume and I also love that Pacifica has the same fragrances in various forms (perfume spray, solid perfume, body butter, body wash, soap). On the other hand, e.l.f’s lotion wipes all smell like synthetic chemical fragrance. I would honestly choose Pacifica lotion wipes simply because of the wide gap in fragrance quality. The only downside to Pacifica’s lotion wipes is that they’re infused with coconut milk and the coconut milk adds a hint of “spiciness” to the fragrance and it alters the original fragrance.
For Pacifica, I think it’s safe to blindly buy any of the fragrances based off of the fragrance name. All of the fragrances will smell exactly as described. For e.l.f, I think the fragrances are cheap and mediocre. The only two fragrances that I would repurchase are Cucumber Melon and Honey & Milk. e.l.f’s line of lotion wipes smell like generic bottled lotion and Pacifica smells luxurious in comparison.
I’m going to have to say that Pacifica wins simply because it’s free of parabens and the wipes take less time to absorb into the skin which makes the product more convenient. Pacifica’s lotion wipes absorb within 30 seconds and e.l.f’s lotion wipes take 1-2 minutes to fully absorb.
It’s a tie! Both of the lotion wipe brands package their products very securely. e.l.f’s lotion wipes are very sleek and in a black package and Pacifica’s lotion wipes are very colorful and beautiful. I love the packaging for both.
Honestly, I think it comes down to what you want. Personally, I like Pacifica more because of the fragrances, the quality of ingredients (paraben free), and the fact that every package purchased results in a donation towards clean water. e.l.f is an excellent choice if parabens don’t bother you and if you’re trying to save money. I would say choose Pacifica if you’re planning on using wipes after a workout, if you plan to use them as moisturizing hand wipes, or if you have a few extra dollars to spend. I do consider Pacifica to be a luxury brand because all of the products are nearly double the average price of drugstore products. I use mine all the time after dining out, after work, to moisturize my hands, and even in the car when I’m feeling too hot. The e.l.f lotion wipes are better for people who plan to use the wipes all over their body. I reach for my e.l.f lotion wipes when I’m running late for the day (usually work or school) but don’t have time to apply real lotion or cream.
