This month I have a bunch of favorites so I’ll be making this month’s “favorites” post a little different compared to normal.
I usually do mini reviews on each individual product with pictures for each product.
But this time, I’ll be condensing the photos by category and shortening up the reviews.
—————————————————————————————–
Eyes:
- Clinique’s Pencil Sharpener– I thought all sharpeners were the same but I was wrong. This is probably the best sharpener I have ever used for makeup pencils. My pencils never break and are always perfectly sharp with 1-3 turns in the sharpener. I have Laura Mercier, Lancome, Prestige, and Nyx sharpeners but I always find myself reaching for the Clinique.
- High Impact Mascara by Clinique – Decent price for a high end mascara that performs beautifully every time.
- Covergirl Exact Eyelights Waterproof Mascara in Black Ruby – Long lasting and adds a nice subtle pop of color. This mascara really makes my eyes stand out.
- Revlon Single Eye Shadows – SOFT, BUTTERY, NO FALLOUT. OMG.
Face:
- E.l.f’s Acne Fighting Foundation in Sand – Matte finish, full coverage, amazing price, decent color selection. I can’t tell if this product actually fights acne but it definitely doesn’t contribute to it.
- E.l.f’s Studio Tinted Moisturizer in Sand – One of my holy grail products. I’ve gone through 5 of these in the past two years when I first discovered the product and am currently working on my 6th tube. I have oily skin but this dries to a demi-matte finish surprisingly. It moisturizes well and it has the coverage of a light foundation. If I add powder, the coverage looks medium. No matter what the season, you’ll find me wearing this product.
- E.l.f’s Essential All Over Color Stick in Lilac Petal – I recently purchased this product since Lilac Petal is one of the more popular colors for E.l.f’s highlighters. I didn’t want the facial whip since I already have one in Toasted and it’s kind of a pain to use. Plus the facial whips will take half a lifetime to use up (not even kidding). The stick version is GREAT. I make a swipe on each side of my face, blend the product in, and I’m left with a very pretty glow.
Lips (photo of swatches are no flash):
- Juice Beauty’s Reflecting Gloss in Champagne – This product is really nice. It’s all natural and it leaves my lips feeling super soft. It’s a slippery gloss with subtle shimmer. The only con this product has is the price.
- L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Mulberry – Moisturizing lipstick with decent color payoff. This is one of my all time favorites.
- E.l.f’s Essential Lipstick in Gypsy – Super creamy formula, very pigmented, and smells great. The only cons are the packaging and the lipstick itself is REALLY soft so it is likely to break in the tube when using it.
- E.l.f’s Studio Lip Lock Pencil – Translucent base for lipsticks/stains/colored glosses. It keeps lip products from feathering and getting into fine lines; as well as boosts the wear time of any lip product. You also get A LOT of product.
- E.l.f’s Studio Conditioning Lip Balm in Blissful Berry – Sweet fragrance, sweet taste, sheer wash of color, and ultra moisturizing. This is comparable to MAC’s Tendertone Lip Balms.
- E.l.f’s Studio Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose – Very nourishing matte lipstick. The lipstick tube comes with a built-in sharpener if you’re someone who likes precise application. The lipstick smells great and doesn’t taste bad either.
From top to bottom: Mulberry by Loreal, Gypsy by Elf, Champagne by Juice Beauty, Blissful Berry by Elf, Tea Rose by Elf. Swatched on the side is the Lip Lock Pencil by Elf (transparent but waxy).
Hair:
- Got2B Lustre Lotion – Great for taming my massive amounts of frizz without making the hair feel crunchy.
- Bed Head After Party Hair Creme – Great for taming some frizz while adding some gloss to the hair.
Miscellaneous:
- Dangle bow earrings (one set with pearls, the other set without) from eBay
