This post will be featuring the newly released Revealed 2 palette from Coastal Scents. The company didn’t even try to hide the fact that this palette was designed to dupe to Naked 3. I have to admit that Coastal Scents did an amazing job at creating a dupe palette for the Naked 3. To be perfectly honest, I think that the Revealed 2 is even better than Urban Decay’s Naked 3. You get 20 shades at a retail price of $19.95 but Coastal Scents introduced the palette for $9.95 which is the price that I bought the palette for. You really can’t beat the price even at retail value!
You can find my original review on the Naked 3 here.

Very nice! The palette is nice and sleek. The color scheme is rose gold and almost matches the color of the Naked 3 palette. It has a thin cardboard packaging which is similar to the packaging of the Lorac Pro palette. The only bummer about this palette is that it doesn’t have a mirror.

This palette has shades that dupe all of the colors in the Naked 3. Some are spot on while others are incredibly similar. I actually prefer some of the Revealed 2 dupe shades over the Naked 3 original shades. I prefer the dupe for Nooner (a bit more berry colored as opposed to mauve-brown) as well as the dupe for Darkside (slightly deeper in color).

Holy pigmentation! These shadows are super pigmented and they’re incredibly buttery. The quality is on par with Urban Decay. Some of the shades are powdery but the Naked 3 is also a bit powdery. My only minor complaint is that the dupe shade for Dust is incredibly powdery just like the original eye shadow. I was hoping for a dupe for Dust without all of the glitter falling all over my face. The only thing that makes the Naked 3 better than the Revealed 2 palette is the fact that the Naked 3 shades have more sheen than the shadows in the Revealed 2.

On top of having dupes for all 12 shades of the Naked 3, this palette offers 8 additional shades that I wished were in the original Naked 3. I thought that a champagne shimmer shade would have been a better alternative for Dust in the Naked 3 and the Revealed 2 offers that. The Revealed 2 palette also offers an incredibly pigmented black, a matte brown, and a beautiful gold shade. My favorite addition to the Revealed 2 palette is the cranberry matte shade.
Aside from the tiny issue of the Revealed 2 not having a mirror, I think that it is superior to the Naked 3 palette. I love my Naked 3 palette to death but I love the Revealed 2 even more. The extra 8 shades in the Revealed 2 palette make the palette complete (meaning I won’t ever need to bring out any additional basic shadows such as matte black, matte brown, or a champagne shade). I would choose the Revealed 2 palette over the Naked 3 palette any day.
